Between January and May 2025, I presented the first series of my own radio programme entitled The Pianist Entertains on SoundArt Radio. I devised the idea for the programme — a weekly hour of popular piano music — and then chose the songs for each programme, wrote scripts, and produced each episode myself.
The programme has been very successful for SoundArt, with the first episode reaching number 12 on the MixCloud community radio charts, which included all community radio programmes uploaded to the platform that week. This was my first time presenting a radio programme.
I presented thirteen episodes in the first series of The Pianist Entertains. Most of these were not scripted, and listeners commented on how relaxed and professional I sounded on the air.

During my time with SoundArt. I learned how to operate a mixing desk by myself, which allowed me to present programmes entirely by myself (including at times when other people were not in the studio).
I was also able to put into practice presenting skills I had learned by listening to the radio, including how best to address the listener and the best style of presenting required for a light-hearted music programme.
I also learned how to deal with an on-air breakdown, when after my live show ended the next pre-recorded programme did not go out. I filled for 45 minutes with music and regular messages informing the listener of the fault, and thereby ensured that there was no dead air and that the listener was provided with interesting programming.
